The highlight of the Singing School for our students, our tutors and our audiences
is the Final Concert of the school at the Toi Toi Hawke's Bay Opera House.

Also come to our free 2021 Summer concerts in parks in Hawke's Bay.

Our Concerts

Concerts coming up in 2021 ...

With a smaller school in July 2021, we will have fewer public concerts.  But one you can't miss is the final flourish of our grand concert featuring our talented students performing the best of musical theatre, opera and classical music.  We are thrilled to be back in the refurbished (and earthquake safe!) Hawke’s Bay Opera House at the ToiToi Arts & Events Centre in Hastings on 10 July 2021.

Summer Concerts!

Singing School NZ likes to support local .. we're a national school based in Hawke's Bay so we are going to make the most of the Bay's summer by offering free concerts.  Some of our experienced former students will be joined by keen future students to perform popular songs from opera, stage and screen.

Summer in the Park, Cornwall Park, Hastings, Sunday 31 January from 3pm - thanks to Hastings District Council for organising this annual event series.

Centralines Summer Series, Nelly Jull Park, Waipawa, Sunday 14 February from 3.30pm - thanks to Centralines for this opportunity.

New Zealand Singing School Trust

The Singing School New Zealand is run by the NZ Singing School Trust.

The Trust Chairman is Helen Walker QSM, who has been active in musical theatre in Central Hawke’s Bay for many years.

The Trustees are passionate volunteers who share the same powerful vision for creating confident and successful singers and performers. They bring a wealth and breadth of experience in singing, performing, music, business, policy and law. As well as running the Trust, students get to meet Trustees in crucial roles during the day-to-day function of each school.
